Deafness Resource Centre now working in Knowsley

Through a partnership with Bradbury Fields (Vision Services in Liverpool) the Deafness Resource Centre has been commissioned to provide advice and support services to the Occupational Therapist team based at Knowsley Centre for Independent Living. The initiative will ensure that OT’s are fully aware of the most recent developments in environmental aids for people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and are equipped to offer them a range of equipment to meet their individual needs. Through the initiative it is hoped we can work together to raise awareness across Knowsley of the support available to D/deaf people and how to access it.

Are you having difficulty hearing the door?

Do you have the television very loud?

Are conversations difficult to follow?

If you live in the Knowsley area and you are experiencing these or any other problems as a result of your deafness, contact the number below.

They will ask you a few questions about the difficulties you are having then arrange for an Occupational Therapist to visit you to do a full assessment and make recommendations on the type of equipment that would meet your needs.

There is no cost the equipment is provided and (where needed) fitted for free.
