Deaf Active Youth Group
Deaf Active St Helens is an inclusive youth-led service for young people aged 10 and older who are D/deaf, hard of hearing or have D/deaf family members. Young People who have an interest in socialising amongst the Deaf community are also very welcome.
All Activities are run by a fully qualified Youth Worker and all our staff and volunteers are fluent in British Sign Language. We are able to provide a fully inclusive experience for all D/deaf Young People without the usual language barriers.
Since 2009 Deaf Active St Helens has gone from strength to strength. We were awarded Big Lottery funding to work in partnership with Liverpool, Manchester and Cheshire D/deaf services to deliver an inclusive youth service across the North West. We participate in joint activities, events and weekend residentials away!
The Deaf Active St Helens Youth Club runs every Wednesday fromĀ 6.30pm-8.30pm.
The Youth Club takes place in our hall in which we have:
- Pool Table
- Nintendo Wii
